Internet resources: “Yandex” mounts its real-time search

“Yandex” has introduced its new search technology which enables to index documents, which appeared on Internet a few minutes ago.

According to “Yandex” many search enquiries are related to events, which took place not so long ago. Their number usually reaches 2%, whereas on the days of important events totals 8%. Orange technology was developed for speedy fresh information indexation.

Real-time technology Orange helps the search engine to find latest documents as they appear on the Internet, index information and include relevant links into the results of users’ enquiries.

“Yandex” is making use of special program detectors, which identify whether the fresh information is relevant for its inclusion into search results. Detectors analyze various data, particularly the subject area of news in Mass Media and increase of search enquiries based on a certain topic.

The share of “Yandex” on the Russian Internet search market is estimated to reach 64,6%; in course of six months this figure rose dramatically up to 9,7%.
