
World libraries: Belarus donates a collection of books to the Library of Congress
The National Library of Belarus presented a collection of noted Belarusian books to the Library of Congress.
"The donation ceremony of books recognized by various national and international awards took place on June 25 in Washington", - announces representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
The Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, who presented books to Georgette Dorn, representative of the Library of Congress, stressed that the books contained extensive and unbiased information about Belarus. He highlighted that they would help to spread knowledge about Belarus among Americans, and undoubtedly contribute to the improved understanding between the peoples of Belarus and the USA.
The representative of the Library of Congress accepted the books noting the importance of that move and expressed an interest in further cooperation with the National Library.
