International events: Conference “Managing data in difficult times” kicks off in Scotland

The 8th International Conference entitled “Managing data in difficult times” initiated by Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) and the Coalition for Networked Information (CNI) will take place on July 1 – 2 2010 in Edinburgh. These meeting will bring together experts from the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom who will focus their attention on policies, strategies, technologies and infrastructure to manage research and teaching data in a fast changing technological and economic environment. High on the agenda are the following topics: cloud computing, innovation in learning and teaching, repositories, digital content and institutional planning, digital preservation and e-Science.
