Electronic Libraries: Bavarian State Library has digitized Guttenberg Bible

The Bavarian State Library has digitized rare manuscripts and books. Among the digitized documents – Gutenberg Bible, Bamberg Bible, The Song of the Nibelungs.

The Bavarian State Library in Munich is the first library in the world to digitize and provide access via Internet to 52 most rare manuscripts and books among which the famous Gutenberg Bible, Bamberg Bible, The Song of the Nibelungs and other documents.

All these rare editions can be downloaded freely. The digitization of other rare manuscripts held by the fund of book treasures of the Bavarian State Library will continue.
