Information security: Doctor Web presents a new Dr.Web 5.0 version for e-mail and Internet-sluices security

In the beginning of August ‘Doctor Web’ company announced the issue of the renewed Dr.Web products for mail servers Unix, Dr.Web for Internet-sluices Unix and Dr.Web Mail Gateway. Renewal has implemented new functional features meant to reduce the load of system resources and increase the products effectiveness and corrected revealed mistakes, informs ‘Doctor Web’.

The principal change in the products for mail security is the feature enabling servers’ load distribution. Before, mail receipt and processing were carried out by one mail server; now these operations are distributed between several servers. According to ‘Doctor Web’ this leads to the increase of products’ efficiency.

Dr.Web for mail servers Unix and Dr.Web Mail Gateway now provides a feature of search in lookups not only by full electronic address but also by its elements – domain or user name.

Minor changes concern the components of all three products as well as web-interfaces and documentation.
