Russian culture abroad: Presentation ceremony of Daugavpils Russian Culture Center launched in Moscow

Presentation ceremony of the Russian Culture Center in the Latvian city of Daugavpils kicked off on September 29 2010 in Moscow at the House of Russian Abroad which bears the name of Alexander Solzhenitsyn.

The Russian Culture Center in Daugavpils holds events intended for preservation of ethnic and cultural identity of Russians, protection, development and popularization of the Russian language, protection and popularization of Russian spiritual, cultural and folk traditions, study and preservation of spiritual and cultural heritage of Russian population.

The presentation ceremony was attended by the Director of the Russian Culture Center Geroida Bogdanova, Deputy Director Yuri Yermakov, artist Pyotr Khudobchyonok, projects’ curator Vyacheslav Lebedev, and Media Director Alexandr Bogdanov.
