The exhibition, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the State Archive, opened on September 17 2010 in Moscow. The anniversary exhibition, which has been prepared by the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the Russian Federal Archival Agency and the State Archive of the Russian Federation, kicked off in the Federal Archives’ Exhibition hall. “Keep in the State Archive..." – the name of the exhibition partially copies the resolution of the Emperor Alexander III on documents concerning the constitutional project of Alexander II: “Keep these documents in the State Archive and do not unseal until a special order".
The exposition is entirely based on archival materials, which have been united into 23 topics on the history of Russia in 19th – 20th cc. Visitors may familiarize themselves with “Poor Liza” – a secret love of the Empress Elizabeth Alexeievna, “Prophecy of Saint Seraphim of Sarov in secret police papers". Among other materials which will undoubtedly attract a keen interest among the public are “How Stalin deprived people of the Victory holiday", “Leningrad vs. Moscow. Case of J. A. Brodsky deportation" and “Where is Hitler? Materials of the “Myths” operation” – investigation of the self-murder of Hitler and Eva Braun. Moreover, within the framework of the exhibition for the first time will be unveiled fragments of the video interview with participants of the 1991 Belavezhskaya Pushcha meeting, which resulted in the USSR dissolution.
The exhibition “Keep in the State Archive” will be opened up to November 28.
