International events: World Internet Governance Forum opens in Vilnius

The fifth annual World Internet Governance Forum was opened on September 14 in Vilnius. It has brought together about 1200 participants from 70 states of the world.

Participants will discuss the following issues: Internet governance; information security, openness and privacy; problems of access, connection to Internet and its further development. Apart from the main session forum’s program includes about 60 sections, which will attract representatives of major companies, non-governmental organizations and academic circles.

Forum will work up to September 17.
