Peoples of Russia: Meeting with Japanese scholar Yasuyuki Murakami mounted at the Ministry of Culture of Khakassia

Japanese scholar Prof. Yasuyuki Murakami from the Ehime University has arrived to the Republic of Khakassia to study ancient ironworks.

A year ago Yasuyuki Murakami also visited Khakassia aiming to outline key directions of his research work. The scholar from Japan has been carrying out a joint research work with Pyotr B. Amzarakov, Head of the Museum of Archaeology, Ethnography and History, Institute of History and Law of the N. F. Katanov Khakassian State University with support of the Cultural Heritage Protection Office of the Ministry of Culture, Republic of Khakassia.

Within the framework of his visit Yasuyuki Murakami is going to examine archaeological monuments for their further study, and make GPS-marks on the map with archaeological monuments of ancient ironworks in Khakassia.

On September 13 the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Khakassia will launch a round table whose participants will discuss results of the visit of Yasuyuki Murakami turn the spotlight on promising projects, mapped out for the future year.
