World libraries: 2500 new arrivals at the Narbonne Audio Library

8 September 2010

The Narbonne Audio Library (Bibliothèque sonore de Narbonne) has added 2500 new titles in MP3 format to its holdings. These resources have been provided by 15 libraries-members of the “Voice Donors” Association.

These books include records of plays, both by classical and modern playwrights: Molière, Musset, Shakespeare, Goldoni, as well as Sarraute, Réza, Gaudé, Schmitt.

Thus currently the Narbonne Audio Library has 3 100 books recorded on audiocassettes; 750 editions on CDs and 3 250 in МР3 format at its disposal.

The library not only lends books but also delivers books and magazines, freely recorded on audio carriers, to people suffering from poor eye sight or disordered motor function.
