Libraries of Russia: “World of Dictionaries” exhibition kicked off at Nizhniy Novgorod Lenin Regional library

Several book exhibitions have been organized at the Nizhniy Novgorod Lenin State Regional Universal Scientific Library in September.

“World of dictionaries” exposition timed to 110th birthday anniversary of S. I. Ozhegov will be open on September 1-20 in the library’s White hall. Exhibition of Dzerzhinsk artists “Autumn watercolors” kicked off on September 2.

On September 28 within the framework of A. Sakharov International Art Festival an exhibition of books from the holdings of the Nizhniy Novgorod Lenin State Library “History of France in memoirs” will be mounted.

“Fundamentals of medical practice” exhibition, which brings together documents dating back to 16th – 20th cc. will open on September 14 at the Museum of Book.

To mark 145th birthday anniversary of A.V. Panov (1865–1903) — Nizhniy Novgorod publicist and bibliographer, creator of a famous “Home library” index — the library has launched the “Exhibition of an index”.

In September the Periodicals Division welcomes to visit its “Autumn in Boldino” of 1830 in works of A.S. Pushkin”, which is timed to 180th anniversary of the poet’s first arrival to Bolshoye Boldino, “Education and upbringing” exhibition which represents journals of 19th – 20th cc. intended for teachers and parents, “Alenxandr Nevsky” — Russian Army’s patron” (based on periodicals of 19th – 20th cc.).

The lending library holds an exhibition entitled “Terrorism – problem of human security” which marks the Day of Solidarity with the Struggle against Terrorism, “Day of Military Glory” to commemorate the Battle of Borodino of the Russian Army under command of M.I. Kutuzov with French army (1812), and also “This month’s celebrators” and “New arrivals”.
