International events: World Political Forum to be held in Yaroslavl

“Modern state: standards of democracy and criteria of efficiency” World Political Forum will take place on September 9-10, 2010 in Yaroslavl under the patronage of RF President D. A. Medvedev.

The city of Yaroslavl which celebrates its thousandth anniversary this year, will be a meeting place of authoritative statesmen and political figures, representatives of business community, leaders of science and education, experts in the area of political science, economy, law from many countries of the world.

The Forum is organized by the Institute of Social Planning, Institute of Modern Development, Yaroslavl State University n. a. P. G. Demidov.

There will be four breakup groups operating during the World Political Forum: “State as a tool of technological modernization”, “New challenges and concept of the international law”, “Standards of democracy and variety of democratic experience”, “Regional systems of global security”.

Working languages of the Forum will be: Russian, English, Chinese, Korean, Italian, German, Portuguese, French and Japanese.
