Russian language abroad: Conference of CIS Russian language teachers kicked off in Dushanbe

The conference entitled “Problems of functioning and teaching of the Russian language in Central Asia and CIS states” was held on October 19-21 2010 at the Russian Center, the Tajik National University.

The conference brought together teachers of Russian language and literature, as well as experts in Russian language from Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizia and Uzbekistan. 

The program of the conference covered three thematic sections – “Urgent problems of the Russian philology”, “Comparative study of languages and theory and practice of translation”, “Teaching of the Russian language and literature in conditions of bilingualism”, as well as a roundtable discussion “Modern textbook of the Russian language”.
