Regions of Russia: Interactive lesson within the framework of “The war-time newspaper line – the line of Victory” project launched in Tula

On October 25 2010 on the International Day of school libraries, within the framework of the project “The war-time newspaper line – the line of Victory” the Tula lyceum № 1 launched an interactive lesson focused on periodicals which came out in Tula during the Great Patriotic War.

The project is aimed at provision of preservation and access to newspapers, which came out in Tula and Tula oblast during 1941-1945, patriotic upbringing of citizens using materials of Tula war-time periodicals, and is intended to generate interest among the younger generation to the history of the Great Patriotic War, history of Tula krai.

The newspapers which were issued in Tula oblast were converted both into microfilm (kept for 500 years) and into the digital format. The sets of editions have been already donated to many libraries, museums, archives of Tula Oblast, and schools of Tula oblast.
