Czech archaeologists have uncovered unique wooden constructions, which had been built roughly 2500 years ago.

Wooden constructions used to be a part of a water reservoir connected with an ancient settlement at the Vladar Mountain in west Bohemia. Tree-ring dating has found that the oaks from which the beams were made were felled around 2500 years ago.

According to archaeologists it is quite a unique finding of a European, if not global importance which will make it possible to reconstruct the history of settlements of the Vladar and its surroundings.

The beams will be conserved by a specialized center of the museum of Archaeology and History in Lausanne, Switzerland. In two years the scientists believe that unique ancient constructions will be included into the exposition, casting the light on researches on the site of ancient settlement.
