Libraries of Russia: Gorky Ryazan Regional Library puts on show its rare books

Book exhibition “Private presses and publishers of Ryazan” was launched at the reading room of the A.M. Gorky Ryazan Regional Library Rare Book Division. It put on show over 90 books and journals from the local lore depositary, which had been printed in private printing houses of Ryazan from 1870 -1917.

The exposition has brought together not just specimen of prints. These are documents and illustration of the history of Ryazan krai. They cover statistical compilations and reviews, registers and reports of provincial and district (Russian: uezd) zemstvo assemblies, editions of provincial and town council, the archive commission, reports of various Ryazan institutions and public organizations, fiction and periodicals.
