Peoples of Russia: Days of the Republic of Mordovia mounted in Altai Krai

A round table “Culture of the Mordvins – heritage of multiethnic Russia” kicked off on October 12 2010 at the V.Ya. Shishkov Altai Krai library. This is the first event within the framework of the Days of the Republic of Mordovia in Altai krai.

Participants of the round table discussed the celebration of 1000th anniversary of unification of the Mordvins with peoples of the Russian State, problems of ethnic cultural development of the Mordva of Russia, interaction of authorities and national-cultural associations.  

During the round table took place a video meeting with the Republic of Mordovia, presentation and donation of books on history, language and cultural traditions and modern socio-economic situation of the region to the V.Ya. Shishkov Altai Krai library. 

On October 13 cultural events will be launched in Zalesovo District, Altai krai – habitation of the Mordvins.
