International events: Problems of cultural heritage preservation under the spotlight in Kazan

On October 6 - 8 2010 Kazan will host International Forum “Digital Technologies in the System of Innovations of Cultural Heritage Preservation”, which will also give a start to the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Digital Technologies in Preservation and Utilization of Monuments of History and Culture” and 17th International Symposium “Integration of Archeological and Ethnographic Research”.

At the forum participants will work out directions of a full-scale and systematic implementation of latest achievements in digital technologies into the practice of research, preservation and utilization of cultural heritage.

Forum is expected to attract leading universities’ and academic institutions of Russia and abroad. Participants of the event will learn about the expertise of implementation of fundamental and applied research and technological developments aimed at preservation and development of cultural and historical heritage.

Participants of the International forum will familiarize themselves with the presentation of the complex project entitled “Cultural heritage of the Republic of Tatarstan: the old town of Bolgar and the island town Sviyazhsk”.
