International conferences: Scientific conference “History of Modern Russia: problems, documents, facts (1985-1999)” kicks off in Moscow

The International scientific conference “History of Modern Russia: problems, documents, facts (1985-1999) kicked off on November 25 2010 in Moscow.

The conference has been organized by the Modern History Foundation, the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the World History Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Scientific Information on Social Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the State Archive of the Russian Federation.

The main purpose of the conference is to unite efforts of specialists in the humanities in order to study interdisciplinary problems related to building of the scientific knowledge and collective memory on the history of late 20th c., share most interesting theories, concepts and results of research which turn the light on dramatic events of last years of the USSR’s existence and initial stage of establishment of modern Russia.
