Russian language: Fourth Russian language Festival “Russian Word” launched in St. Petersburg
The Russian Society of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature (ROPRYAL) is holding the Fourth Russian Language Festival “Russian Word” in St. Petersburg on November 25-26 2010.
The Fourth Russian Language Festival “Russian Word” aims to attract public attention to the state of the modern Russian language, demonstrate best examples of the live speech, generate interest in the Russian language and culture. The festival is called to bring together people, who take an interest in preservation and development of the Russian language.
The festival’s organizing committee is headed by Lyudmila Alekseevna Verbitskaya, the President of the St. Petersburg State University, President of the Russian Society of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature (ROPRYAL) and the International Association of Teachers of the Russian Language and Literature (MAPRYAL).
The first round of the festival kicked off in Oryol, final rounds took place in St. Petersburg. Among the participants of the festival are residents from Moscow, Oryol, as well as Orenburg, Sverdlovsk, Vladimir, Leningrad, Tver, Kaluga, Voronezh oblasts, Krasnodar, Stavropol krais, and Transbaikal territory.
