Libraries of Russia: “Russia and France: the centuries-old dialogue of cultures” exhibition opens in Barnaul

An exhibition “Russia and France: the centuries-old dialogue of cultures”, timed to the Year of Russia in France and the Year of France in Russia, kicked off on November 18 2010 at the Altai krai library.

The exhibition puts on show over 600 editions, rare books as well. The exposition casts the light on the origin and development of historical and cultural ties between two countries, dating back to 11th c. and continuing up to present days. Rich material covers the history of French literature, music, art and cinematography.

The exhibition’s opening ceremony attracted lecturers and students of universities, artists, photographers, krai’s intelligentsia.
