Libraries of Russia: Seminar “The Youth and Library Space of 21st c.” in Vyborg

On November 11 - 13 2010 the Central City Alvar Aalto Vyborg Library is hosting a regional seminar “The Youth and Library Space of 21st c.”. The seminar is being held by the Leningrad Regional Universal Scientific Library with participation of the Central City Alvar Aalto Vyborg Library. This event continues implementation of the social and cultural project undertaken by the Central City Alvar Aalto Vyborg Library “Perceiving the world and yourself”: libraries and individual’s socialization at modern stage”.

At the seminar specialists from St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast are going to deliver reports based on the following themes: “Problems of navigation of young patrons in modern literary space”, “Psychological problems of modern patron service at libraries”, “PR and multimedia technologies: a new level in reading promotion”.

The event will also include a roundtable discussion “Libraries and the youth: searching a modern model of patron service”.
