Regions of Russia: Declassified documents of Khakassia to become public domain

1 November 2010

The interdepartmental expert commission of the Republic of Khakassia on archival documents declassification examined and declassified documents, housed at the National Archive of the Republic of Khakassia.

Declassified documents cover resolutions of the Presidium of the Khakass Oblast Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (KPSS), materials, minutes of meetings  of the Bureau of Khakass Oblast Committee of KPSS, materials, which cover information, submitted to the Krai Committee of KPSS on implementation of the party’s and government’s resolutions; minutes of the 29th Khakas Oblast party conference and relevant materials; correspondence on the subject of personal pensions with city committees, regional committees of KPSS and the commission on personal pensions, as well the staff lists, party’s budgets and financial reports.

A complex of declassified documents is without a doubt to attract a keen interest of scholars, specialists and local lore specialists. Materials which for a long time remained “torn” out of the context of historical comprehension of that time, are topical. Formerly declassified documents of the National Archive will become public domain.
