29 December 2010

On December 27 2010 in view of the end of the year which saw 65th Great Victory anniversary the Russian Cultural Center (RKC) in Tel Aviv launched memorial art expositions, dedicated to the Great Patriotic war.

One of the expositions – is a presentation of a picture by a famous Russian-Israeli artist E. Khoroshiy (Bat Yam) “My father is leaving for front”. A large canvas was finished in the year of 65th anniversary of Great victory, however it took more than 40 years to fulfill an artistic concept, what is proved by the sketches to the picture made in the 1960s.

The exhibition also showcases an early work by E. Khoroshiy – a portrait of the war veteran Leningrad artist P. Ivanenko (1952).

Visitors of the Russian Cultural Center will also have a chance to familiarize themselves with a complex photo exhibition donated to the center by ITAR-TASS. It features a large exposition of photographs taken by the front-line correspondents, which depict the 1941-1945 war chronicle, as well as works by modern photo artists.
