23 December 2010

The exhibition of Roman Solopov “Kulikovo Field. Signs. Symbols. Embodiment” has been launched at the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Prague. This project has been prepared by the State Museum of Military History and Nature Reserve “Kulikovo Field” with the support of the Rossotrudnichestvo (Federal Agency on the CIS, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation) office in the Czech Republic.

A young photo artist R. Solopov had been working at the museum-reserve “Kulikovo Field” for many years and almost every museum event of past years was portrayed in his works.

R. Solopov is the author of several major exhibitions, dedicated to the landscapes of the Kulikovo Field – the site of the great battle between the Russian army and the Golden Horde, as well as of a large illustrated encyclopedia “Kulikovo Field”.

Visitors of the exhibition will have a chance to get acquainted with a heroic heritage of Russia and think back on a rich historical past of the country.
