IT and Society: All info on govt. procurement now available on one site

On January 1 2011 was launched an Official Website of the Russian Federation which will accumulate information on placement of orders for delivery of goods, execution of works and rendering services www.zakupki.gov.ru (hereinafter referred to as Official site), which from the time specified is considered an only official source for publishing information on placement of orders in accordance with the Federal Law № 94-FZ of July 21 2005 “On Placement of Orders for Delivery of Goods, Execution of Works and Rendering Services for State and Municipal Needs”.

Other websites on Internet (federal official website, official websites of RF regions, official websites of municipal formations) and prints at discretion of customers, authorized agencies, specialized organizations may be used as additional sources for dissemination of information on placement of orders, with provision of information on the Official website.

From January 1 2011 the current federal official website will continue its work in restricted functionality mode up to July 1 2011. The website will be available at www.zakupkiold.gov.ru.
