Russian culture abroad: Festival of Russian Culture in Dublin

Festival of Russian Culture is opening on February 28 2011 in Dublin (Ireland).

Its program includes a photo exhibition “Born in USSR” launched by Russian compatriots living in Ireland and short films about Russia, a lecture “Twenty years later – what do the Russians think of Democracy”.

Festival will also feature a chess tournament, master classes, seminars, children’s performances, public readings of Russian literary works.

One of the festival’s main events will become a show of Sergei Eisenstein’s “Battleship Potemkin” at the Irish Film Institute.

This year Festival of Russian Culture welcomes a delegation from St. Petersburg, which has brought two photo exhibitions: “Ireland in St. Petersburg” and “Melody of a young soul”.
