Electronic libraries: Electronic library provides access to Ali-Shir Navā’i’s works
The National Library of Uzbekistan has launched a scientific and literary conference called to celebrate 570th birthday anniversary of a great poet and thinker Ali-Shir Navā’i. The conference brought together philologists, art historians, poets and students.
Jointly with the Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan the National Library of Uzbekistan unveiled an electronic library that brings together works by Ali-Shir Navā’i on a website. It now provides access to electronic copies of a 20-volume complete collected works by Navā’i and a great number of scientific works and works of art, dedicated to work of the poet.
The event’s program includes a book exhibition with its central theme “Genius of Navā’i – source of inspiration”. The book exhibition showcases a 20-volume collected works by the poet in Uzbek and a 10-volume book in Russian, many manuscripts and printed copies of works, their counterparts in English, French, Polish, Czech and other languages.
