Libraries of Russia: The All-Russian scientific and practical conference “eResources: from publishers to patrons” in St. Petersburg

On March 29, 2011 the National Library of Russia is launching the All-Russian scientific and practical conference “eResources: from publishers to patrons”.

The conference will bring together around 250 specialists from different cities and towns of Russia, as well as from abroad. High on the agenda are the trends of eBook market and the problems of library acquisition in digital environment, acquisition and utilization of e-resources at libraries.

Within the framework of the conference the new building of the National Library of Russia will open an exhibition “Electronic resources to libraries”. Finally the conference will come to an end on April 1 with a roundtable discussion “Government purchases at libraries” at the library’s main building.
