Google’s Chrome 11 Beta has unveiled its new voice recognition feature to process user’s queries and commands.

Boris Khvostichenko, Product Manager at Google in Russia, says that the new voice recognition option rests on Google’s existing solutions in this area, like, “Voice Search” for smartphones. Google Chrome is likely to recognize voice commands in the same languages (Russian included), like “Voice Search” service for smartphones.

Google Chrome uses a special HTML5 extension in order to regulate website access to voice recognition technology. The specification of this extension is not final. However, the fact of its existence means that this option will be ready for implementation not only by Google, but developers of other web browsers and services as well.

In addition, updated Chrome version has changed its logo.
