Opera has released the beta version of its latest web browser Opera 11.10 (codenamed Barracuda).

Opera claims enhanced speed thanks to a brand new browser core. Opera announced that Barracuda supports multi-column layouts and gradients, the Web Open Font Format and WebP image protocol.

Another significant change is “an improved Speed Dial which makes it easier and faster to access your favorite websites”. The number of Speed Dials a user can assign is also now unlimited, and the feature comes with new layout choices, and an improved zoom slider.

Furthermore, Opera 11.10 will download Flash automatically and install it in the background when you visit a page that requires the plug-in.

The beta version of Opera 11.10 is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
