Internet resources: Chrome browser will understand speech
Google has released Chrome 11 browser. The company reported on it in its blog. To download the latest version of the browser, please visit Chrome on Google.
The new browser version is implemented with voice input of text through HTML. For the first time this feature was applied in the translation service Google Translate.
Instead of typing a word or phrase to be translated on the keyboard, users of Chrome 11 can now pronounce them into the microphone. Google Translate recognizes words and translates them into user-selected language. For the time being, the translator understands only the spoken word in English.
To activate the voice input into Google Translate, you need to click on an icon displaying a microphone in the lower right corner of the dialogue form.
The voice input is also supported in the Google applications for the mobile platform Android.
For the new version of the browser, Google has also changed the logo of Chrome, making it more "flat".
The previous version of the browser, Chrome 10, was realeased March 8, 2011. At the browser market Chrome holds the third place, following Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
