Archives: “NEP. Lost age of change” exposition in St. Petersburg

From 25 April to 24 June 2011 the Exhibition Gallery of the Central State Archives of St. Petersburg holds an exhibition of archival documents, entitled "NEP. Lost Age of Change" in honor of the 90th anniversary of the beginning of the New Economic Policy in Soviet Russia.

The purpose of the exhibition is to feature documents illustrating the main stages of the New Economic Policy in industry, commerce, agriculture, on the one hand, and the changes that took place in a society under the influence of economic recovery, on the other. The documents preserved in state archives of St. Petersburg allow to discover the subject not only in relation to the Petrograd-Leningrad and the province, but the North-West Russia. The exhibition features more than 30 documentary photographs from the collections of the Central State Archive of Film and Photo of St. Petersburg.
