Internet resources: Plans of historical buildings of Helsinki now available online

Helsinki City Archives have released a free service which enables Net-surfers to familiarize themselves with plans of old buildings online.

Online Register SINETTI covers over 15 000 plans from the collection of the archives, spanning the time between the 1820s up and beg. 20th c. The search is available by the architect’s name or address.

Many buildings have not survived up to present day, that’s why the register helps to look back into the history of architecture of Helsinki.
