Internet resources: “Nikolai Domozhakov Virtual Museum” project gets unveiled

April 21, 2011 within the framework of Domozhakov’s Readings currently held at the N.G. Domozhakov National Library (Abakan, Republic of Khakassia) was unveiled a project “Nikolai Georgievich Domozhakov Virtual Museum “Life, dedicated to people…”. This is a brand new line of activity for the National Library.

The museum has been created to coincide with 95th anniversary of the writer, poet, translator, scholar, pedagogue and public figure N.G. Domozhakov.

Visitors of the virtual museum will have a chance to learn about the history of career of Nikolai Domozhakov, his contribution to Khakass literature, his public activities. In addition, pages of the virtual museum will feature his works, extensive bibliography and video materials.

N.G. Domozhakov Museum consists of 20 thematic sections available as hyperlinks. The virtual museum contains more than 200 photographs, copies of documents, books, articles, drawings, portraits as well as the index of names.

Museum’s virtual “expositions” will constantly increase to feature new documents on life and work of Nikolai Domozhakov. Materials of Domozhakov’s Readings are planned to get released on the website too.
