History of Russia: Theoretical and Practical Conference “Authority and Society in Russia – Pyotr Stolypin’s life and activities as a statesman” in Samara

April 21, 2011 the Samara Regional Library held the Interregional Theoretical and Practical Conference “Authority and Society in Russia – Pyotr Stolypin’s life and activities as a statesman”.

The year 2012 will see 150 anniversary of Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin (1862-1911). He entered the history of Russia as one of the major politicians and statesmen, as a talented reformer of the country.

The key purpose of the conference is to facilitate interregional co-operation in science, study and propaganda of Russian historical heritage on the example of life and activities of Russian reformer Pyotr Stolypin.

Speakers at the conference were Professors, Doctors and Candidates of History, postgraduate students, students from Samara, Tolyatti, Moscow, Yoshkar-Ola, Penza, Kostroma, Kazan, Ufa, Saransk.
