This is the second large-scale project undertaken by the organization aimed at preservation of historical memory of two peoples.
The first revival project was carried out in the city of Guymri (Leninakan in the past) – “Hill of Honor”, which is a graveyard of Russian army’s officers, who perished during the Russo-Turkish wars of 19th c. The revived memorial was unveiled by the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan August 20, 2010 during the visit of the Russian President to Armenia.
The Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum features over 200 Russian innovative and investment programs. This is a “pilot” project jointly undertaken by Russia and Armenia within the framework of the Commonwealth, whose principal aim is to establish a connection between oblasts and regions of two countries.
