IT abroad: Microsoft Corp. is going to release the first public version of Silverlight 5 technology

Microsoft Corp. is going to release the first public version of Silverlight 5 technology at Microsoft MIX conference which is held April, 12 – 14, 2011 in Las Vegas (USA). Microsoft also promises not only to present its Silverlight 5 beta version, but also unveil its latest technologies and developments related to HTML 5.

According to Microsoft Developer Division, the company doesn’t consider Silverlight 5 and HTML 5 competitors, but rather technologies which complement each other.

At MIX 2011 the company is planning to highlight new options of Silverlight 5 technology, in particular, the development of mobile apps for Silverlight, XNA technology and “a number of fundamental features of Silverlight 5”.
