World history: Exhibition project “50 years in Space: The Chronicle of Exploration” in 30 cities of Russia

A large-scale exhibition project “50 years in Space: The Chronicle of Exploration” has been launched in 30 major cities of Russia to mark 50th anniversary of the first flight into space.

The exhibition features best Soviet posters which cast the light on space exploration. The subject of cosmonautics was very popular in Soviet time. Accomplishments in space exploration came under spotlight of periodicals, art and cinematography. However it was poster, which due to its impressive images, interesting plots and vivid color became a powerful tool which enabled to share news about big victories of Russian cosmonautics with citizens countrywide.

The exhibition also puts on show front pages of “Komsomolskaya pravda” focused on the space exploration.

Exhibitions kicked off in early April in 30 major cities of Russia from Kaliningrad to Khabarovsk and will run for 2-3 months.
