Internet resources: Firefox 5 due in June

Details about the next version of Mozilla’s Firefox 5 are slowly emerging on the Web.

The browser is said to receive significant user interface revisions and feature updates that will make Firefox more social. The Home button will completely disappear. Instead, Mozilla will be adding a permanent Home app tab. It is also planning to enhance social sharing features and Tab apps.

Firefox 5 will feature In-browser preview. It will get an integrated PDF viewer and extend this capability to more popular file formats, including MP3.

Development of Firefox 5 will go into four stages; final release is scheduled for the end of June. Besides, this year Mozilla is planning to release Firefox 6 and 7.

Net Applications company evaluates that at the end of March Firefox owned 21,8% of the market share, while a year ago this figure totaled 24,5%.
