IT and Education: Digital learning environment “One pupil – one laptop” to be introduced at schools of Vladimir

Intel Corp. has inked an agreement of intention with the Department of Education of Vladimir City Administration. The agreement implies introduction of an information learning environment initiative “One pupil – one laptop” at city’s primary and secondary schools.

Pupils and teachers will get access to modern educational resources and IT developments. The initiative also implies skills improvement training for secondary school teachers.

Intel is going to offer 60 СMPC laptops to equip three classrooms at educational institutions. The corporation will also provide information, methodological and technical support for implementation of digital learning environment “One pupil – one laptop” at all the stages, including the development and a step-by-step implementation.

To enable skills improvement training for teachers, participating in the pilot project on implementation of “One pupil – one laptop” environment, Intel will hold a training event, as well as a series of seminars “Laptop to each pupil”.
