International scientific conference in St. Petersburg marks 65th anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials

International scientific conference dedicated to 65th anniversary of the Nuremberg Trials is taking place May 16, 2011 in the Tauride Palace, St. Petersburg. Russian and foreign parliamentarians, lawyers, historians, representatives of international human rights organizations are discussing urgent lessons and modern significance of one of the most crucial results of World War II.

The conference addresses issues concerning legal results of the Nuremberg Trials and their modern significance, urgent lessons and highly important results for further development of the society.

Particular attention is given to problems, which despite decades which have passed since the end of the legal process over heads of the Nazi Germany, continue to worry the international community.

The final declaration will be adopted following results of the conference.
