Publishing and Book Selling: International Book Fair in Turin

24th International Turin Book Fair, one of the most prestigious Europe’s literary forums, is running May 12-16, 2011 in the capital city of Piedmont. This year is highlights two events – 150th anniversary of Italian Unification and Cultural Exchange Year for Italy and Russia.

Russian writers, translators, literature specialists and publishers are guests of honor at the fair. Russia’s stand in Turin will feature speeches of famous Russian authors and their Italian colleagues. One of the seminars will be focused on children’s literature.

Guests are invited to visit stands of Russkiy Mir Foundation, Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, “Kuchkovo polye” and “Aleteiya” publishing companies.

Among theme exhibitions are: “History of diplomatic relations of Russia and Italy”, “Italian literature in Russian book graphics, “50 years of space era” and others.
