International events: Moscow mounts the exhibition timed to 20th Anniversary of CIS

28 June – July 3, 2011 the All-Russian Exhibition Center in Moscow is staging an exhibition which marks 20th Anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) “20 years of CIS: Toward New Horizons of Partnership”. Its organizers, including the All-Russian Exhibition Center, aim to advance existing economic, cultural and social relations, and shape a positive public image of CIS countries. Another objective pursued by the exhibition is to demonstrate a number of achievements of CIS member-states within two decades.

The exhibition mounts sections of each of the CIS countries, while the central section celebrates common results of cooperation between states. Visitors may get acquainted with first-priority programs and projects, which are at different stages of implementation, in sections of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine.

The Russian Federation showcases a large-scale exposition. The 2000+ meters2 area features collective stands of constituent territories of Russia, state corporations, research institutions and industrial enterprises which collaborate with CIS member-states. Among them are Russian Railways, Ministry of Education and Science of Russia.

Exposition’s stands number 1200 participants.

An important event of the exhibition will become a forum “Young Generation – Life with No Borders”. It will attract heads and activists of youth public associations and organizations of CIS member-states. The Day of the Russian Federation will see an Innovative Forum bringing into focus urgent areas of scientific and technical and innovative co-operation between CIS states.

Each country will have its own national day: June 29 – the national day of Azerbaijan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Union State, June 30 – Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, July 1 – Armenia and Russian Federation, July 2 – Kyrgyzstan, July 3 – Belarus. Visitors will have a chance to take part in the festival of culture and national traditions of CIS countries, which will attract artists, arts and crafts masters. The gala concert will close the festival and exhibition.
