Presidential Library: “Memory of the Great Victory” Collection adds new sources

On the occasion of 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War outbreak the collection of the Presidential Library “Memory of the Great Victory” has added front-line newspapers covering 1941 (from holdings of the National Library  of the Republic of Karelia), Belarus partisan newspapers (over 20 titles), and also leaflets, which were distributed in Belarus during the war (from holdings of the National Library of the Republic of Belarus) and other materials.

The collection “Memory of the Great Victory” was released to mark 65th anniversary of the Great Victory. Originally it was made up of about 2000 electronic documents with the preference given to materials spanning 1941-1945. They cover books, collected works, historiographic works, newspapers, fragments of newsreel, photographs, posters and leaflets.

As for today the selection totals over 8000 documents. The collection will grow subsequently over time as new sources are added.
