International conferences: Northern Arctic Federal University holds a forum of leading IT specialists in Arkhangelsk

Consolidate relations with business partners and launch serious joint projects – are the goals set by participants of the international scientific conference “IT in exploration of northern and arctic technologies", which is running June 9-10 in Northern (Arctic) Federal University.

The conference has brought together leading IT specialists from St. Petersburg, Moscow and partners of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University from Narvik University College (Norway).

"Our Institute aims to concentrate efforts of IT-community on implementation of new technologies in the learning process. This is necessary for creation of new software products, which will be in demand in the northern region. The University has all the chances", said Alexander Guryev, Director of the Information and Space Technologies Institute.

The university’s pro-rector for Innovative Technologies Yuri Varfolomeev stressed that one of the primary tasks set for the university with involvement of IT-community – would be an effective use of opportunities of “Arctic” Space Monitoring Center’s satellite dish.
