Internet resources: Web TV project for science promotion to be launched in Russia

Russia’s new web TV project aimed to promote science is awaiting its launch, said the Chairman of the Coordination Council for Youth Affairs in Science and Education, President’s Council for Science, Technology and Education Andrei Petrov. 

The project is currently being knocked into shape, however its structure has been already finished, Andrei Petrov commented at the meeting of editors-in-chief of foreign scientific journals with Russian scholars and representatives of Russian development institutes.

The new project which will be accessible at science-tv.ru, will become both the site for revealing results of scientific works and a forum for Russian scientists.

Andrei Petrov explained that an initiative for creation of a new project was encouraged by a group of young Russian scholars, who teamed up at the facility of the Institute on Problems of Science Development of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The content will feature primary sources, like materials of conferences, scientific symposia”, he said.

Andrei Petrov didn’t announce the official date of the project’s launch, however he mentioned that its test version would be ready by the end of the year.
