History of Russia: Entire history of Tambov Region goes on show

Tambov Regional Local Lore Museum staff have been working on a new exhibition. The future exposition will cast light on the region’s development from its birth up to present days.

Today the museum staff can boast one of the halls of the future exposition – “Legends of Tambov Krai”, which has been already completed. When finished, the exhibition will tell about Tambov Region using biographies of some personalities. Visitors will learn about the development of provincial and later on the regional center of Tambov, peasant war, collectivization, nature description etc. Museum staff are going to complete preparation by 75th anniversary of Tambov Region formation. By that time will be available the illustrated “Museums of Tambov” atlas-catalogue, which will bring together information regarding all state, municipal, and private museums.
