Society and Culture: “Culture as Russia’s strategic resource in 21st century. Innovative planning of cultural environment” forum in Moscow

July 1-2, 2011 Moscow State University of Culture and Arts is holding the international Moscow Culture Forum “Culture as Russia’s strategic resource in 21st century. Innovative planning of cultural environment”.

In 2010 forum addressed problems of culture as Russia’s strategic resource in 21st century, whose solution was to determine the future of the country. Forum’s participants came to the conclusion that culture is to become Russia’s national idea. In view of this the urgent matter of today has become an innovative planning of cultural environment and cultural policy – the spotlight of the running forum.

Forum’s program features discussions on the most pressing issues concerning development and preservation of culture, discussion clubs and working groups struggling to work out long-term government programs in the field of culture, presentation of innovation cultural projects with a prospect of involvement of government bodies, businessmen, commercial and public organizations, working in the field of culture, into their implementation.

Moscow Culture Forum has attracted representatives of Presidential Administration of Russia, RF Government, federal, regional, and local bodies of executive and legislative power, heads of constituent territories of Russia, leading Russian and foreign scholars, prominent pedagogues, famous workers of culture and art and public figures.
