24 August 2011

Trend Micro anti-virus company has completed a new line of products to protect PCs against IT threats, spam and malicious software. New versions of the 2012 products, as well as products from other antivirus companies, rely on such a trendy market phenomenon as the cloud's antivirus engine which gains access to new virus databases in real time. New products from Trend Micro Titanium have several innovations aimed at the cloud use.

In the coming days the company will advertise Trend Micro Titanium Maximum Security 2012, Titanium Internet Security 2012 and Titanium Antivirus 2012.

Last year anti-virus products have been supported by cloud antivirus Smart Protection Network, which is at the basis of the company’s cloud security. New versions of products gain access to it in real time and always operate with the latest antivirus signatures. The new anti-virus products have a feature enabling them to detect fake antivirus programs, the concept of which that is now being actively practiced by hackers, and technology preventing a computer from joining botnets (even if the PC has already been infected.)

Among the innovations of products are two principal ones: firstly, Windows-version of the products have a new interface, and secondly, corporate users of Value-licenses can now get access to the   Trend Micro SmartSurfing for Mac.

Users of the most complete set of Titanium Maximum Security will enjoy SafeSync package, providing for annual access to a remote file store of 10 GB. Titanium Internet Security users get 2 GB of remote storage. Users of both versions have access to the new system of file encryption, as well as new utilities for cleaning the Windows registry and temp files in the OS.

The company especially notes that users of Maximum Security 2012 get free licenses for mobile antivirus for iOS and Android. Mobile anti-viruses of the company provide access not only to the antivirus engine, but also to the SMS-blockers, and to the system tracking a lost smart phone.
